Madison Geology Museum
This project was part of an assignment for one of my upper level design courses. I was tasked with designing a logo, merchandise, and a web presence for a museum. I chose a geology museum based on a museum I have visited in real life from the region I call home. I've always been a rock fanatic and collected them since I was a kid, so geology seemed to be the perfect fit. In order to create the logo I drew from crystalline structures and divided up the shape of the state into this formation. I chose the colors red and white as they are most commonly representative of Madison due to it being the theme of the University of Wisconsin Badgers. I chose the font Futura to mirror the geometric shapes of the state above. The overall result is the state appearing like a gemstone followed by text that reflects the shape of the state.
